10. Australian National Botanic Gardens
I was planning on joining a 'coffee and creatives' meetup on Sunday but Sally, who I met last week, suggested catching up for brunch at Pollen at the Australian National Botanic Gardens and having walked around the Arboretum on my own, thought it might be nice to have someone to walk around the gardens with, so I met Sally for lunch and then we strolled around the gardens. The rainforest part is really impressive. It reminded me of the Dandenongs. There are still things to see there, as there are at the Arboretum, so I will have to go again.

A nest of some sort?
There are lots of things for children to find in the gardens.
I've always loved the bark of these trees! Is it due to mum's bark art?

There was no shortage of these little guys and girls. (Australian Water Dragons) We did see a baby too.

The view isn't the least bit like the view from the Arboretum.
I'm amazed that I could capture so many of these.

I am supposing that children in Cnaberra don't chase birds because the birds never seem concerned about my human presence.
The water dragons look fantastic! Walks in rainforests are so restorative. Carolyn
ReplyDeleteI told Sally, who I was there with, that it was a good place for the soul.
